I have Office 2004 for Mac/Power Point version 11.2...running on an IMAC
G-5. I have Office 200 for Windows with PowerPoint on several Windows XP
machines. I have several computers in my home, Windows and Macs, networked
both wired and wireless. I have a networked disc drive for backing up files
among the separate computers.
Recently I created a presentation on the Imac Power Point and saved it to my
network drive which sees all the computers, both Windows and Mac. For the
first time (I¹ve done this before), my Power Point file created on my Imac
will not open on my Windows XP machines, when I try to open it from my
Network disc drive (it¹s a Simple Share 180 Gig, simply plugged into the
router through a remote ethernet port). It will open on the Mac machines
(three of them). I haven¹t tried copying the file to a CD and trying to play
it on the Windows computer, as I don¹t think it will play. Oddly, all the
photos and text I used to create the PowerPoint file open on all the
computers, and all my old Power Point files open on all the computers. Any
explanations or suggestions?
Thanks/
