Mac Word 2004 and inserting pictures from photoshop

Hell NG,
a while back I posted about my problem when it comes to inserting pictures
into my word 2004 as well as word x documents. I tried diffrent printers and
diffrent image formats, i tried creating ps or pdf first. Always I face the
same fact:
The image is top quality when I print directly from Photoshop, thin lines
have ripples and the pictures just does not seem that clear after beeing
inserted into Word. I dont scale the picture in Word or use any other image
manipulation from word.

Any suggestions on what I could do better or on what I am doing wrong?

Others may have better suggestions, but seems to me that your main problem
is you are not saving your pictures in a form that Word can handle.

I know Word handles .jpg and .gif files beautifully. Also of course .pct.

I assume it will also handle .bmp, and .tif

I have successfully inserted pdf files as well, but they are usually larger
than I want. I convert things to jpegs when I can.

Hope this helps.

The .ps file, by the way will never work as an insert to my knowledge. It's
a binary file readable only by high end graphics apps, RIP software and
printers. An eps file won't work easily either, although Word may be able to
print it. I do not think it will ever display for you on your screen within
the Word program.

Best,

- Bill
