Processor: Power PC

We have a document created on Mac Word 2008 which contains embedded images. When we open the document on a PC with Word 2007, one of the images is flopped horizontally. I can't find a method to even flop the image in any version of Word. Even when the document is saved as a new name on a PC the problem persisits. Right reading on Mac Word 2008 and 2004, flopped on Win Word 2007 and 2003. Any ideas?

Yeah, Word 2007 is known for that - although I'm not certain of how you
define "flop" :) [In Word the options are *flip* (horizontal or vertical)
or *rotate*.] The suspected cause is that somewhere along the line the image
was rotated & 2007 is putting it back the way it thinks it "should" be. For
the latest developments you might check over on the Dark Side:

Rotating in 2008 can be done in either of at least 3 ways:

1- Drag the green handle extending from the top edge of the selection
boundary clockwise or counter-clockwise to freely rotate,

2- Use the Rotation button in the Size, Rotation & Ordering group of the
Formatting Palette to rotate c/cw in 90º increments, or

3- In the Format> Picture dialog on the Size page by entering a number of
degrees of rotation.

Flipping can be done in #2 as well, or you can drag a center sizing handle
straight through the image & out the opposite side (but you run the risk of
doing so disproportionately).

Hi,

Your picture may be one affected by a problem with Word 2007 that was
fixed in an update. I'm willing to bet the problem will go away when the
2007 folks fix their copy of Word with an update.

You should also make sure your copy of 2008 is updated.

Thanks.

I should have used Flip not Flop.
