I cannot find the key to call up one of my auto text entries. With WinWord, the equivalent key is F3, but with this app. it doesn't work. HELP!

Hello ___________-

There must be more to your question - I doubt you expect to be able to
create an AutoText entry on any one computer & expect it to be available
when you go to another just because the program has the same name.

Please fill us in on the details as to why you would expect F3 on a Mac to
do something the keystroke was customized to do on a PC

Sorry - it suddenly dawned on me that you must have meant the use of F3 as a
generic trigger for AutoText entries on a PC - my mistake:-}

It's probably hard to believe, but F3 in the Mac version of Word was
assigned to the Copy command before the program was ported to the Windows
world, where they promptly went about changing things to suit themselves.
The equivalent keystroke you are looking for on the Mac is Command+Option+V.

Alternatively if you have the Preference set for the AutoComplete Tip to
appear you need only press return when the tip pops up.

Hello again -

If you do a search in Word Help for: shortcuts, you'll find just about
everything you might want to know... And if that isn't enough keep in mind
that you can always assign keyboard shortcuts of your choice to features &
commands you use frequently.

The consideration, of course, is that some strokes are already used by Word
or by the OS, but most of them can be reassigned if you wish. Let us know if
you need any further help.
