I hope someone can advise me about something odd that happens when
opening documents in Word for Mac v.X (w/SP-1 applied) - if I double-click
a Word document from the Mac Finder, it opens normally, with text
displayed with its proper formatting. However, if I open the same file from
within Word, the document appears without any formatting applied, but with
formating information (style, fonts used, path, etc.) *listed* after the text
itself. Sometimes this formating information also includes snippets from
other files as well. Has anyone else encountered this and, if so, found a
solution? FWIW, I am planning on purchasing a new Mac soon, and am
planning on upgrading to the current version of Office at that point, so I am
also wondering if this problem also occurs in later versions of Word.
