MacBook Excel/Entourage questions

Recently, the cursor will fail to respond in Excel and in Entourage. I can
Save, and switch programs, and then it will be OK again.

Twice, after this kind of situation in Excel, my MacBook completely shut
down, and then opened itself......starting up, and I put in my password to
open it up....

Anyone have any ideas what this means?

Your question may be better answered in a newsgroup appropriate to your
problem. This newsgroup is dedicated to the Microsoft Access database
product. Microsoft does have Mac newsgroups. Try:

microsoft.public.mac.excel
or
microsoft.public.mac.entourage
