Machine timing in seconds / minutes

I have found Project 2003 very useful for analysing and balancing timing of
automated production machines, but MS in thier wisdom never envisioned
projects needing seconds or fractions of a second as a time unit. All my
times need to be shown in minutes and hours, and this is ok for me but
awkward in management presentations.

Can someone tell me if Project 2007 now supports seconds?

Thanks

Using hours for minutes and minutes for seconds sounds easy, but how can you
work with "Start" and "Finish" times? Is there a way to have these in hours
and minutes instead of calender dates?

Also, how can you have fractions of a second (minute)? I would like to
resolve down to at least 0.1 sec in my process.

Thanks

Project only goes down to minutes, so 0.1 sec is not possible.

Select Tools, Options then the View tab and select any format for dates with
a time.

Hi Blue Photon,

Try Tools/Options.../View tab and select in Date Format the setting that
just gives time : 12:33. Dates will then only show the start and finish
times. You can type in .1h to give you 6 minutes, so converting to seconds,
it will give 6 seconds. Typing in 1m will give you a conversion to 1 sec.
1 min is converted to zero and thus becomes a milestone. You can't get
shorter than that.

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)
