MacIntel - PowerPoint Problems with Drag & Drop

Am seeing a recurrent problem where I cannot drag and drop either individual
bullet entries - or complete slides - after the first 15-20 slides. I can
do it in the first 15-20 slides however. This occurs across ALL PPT files,
not any particualr one.

Has anyone else with a MacBook Pro seen this behavior?

FWIW, I have fully upgraded Office 2004 with the latest service pack.

I just posted a similar complaint. Also have two Intel-based Macs. As
a recent convert back to Mac after a 7 year hiatus and a heavy-heavy
PPT user, I find it runs unbearably slow on the new Macs.
In slide sorter view it will allow me to drag and drop but it takes a
very long time to execute the move and then the entire screen or pane
needs to re-render to reflect the change. It's too much to bear. I
have considered going to Keynote.

Understood....just to clarify though, the problem I related is not a speed
of of performance one as you relate, but an "absolute" limitation of not
being able to drag and drop at all after the first 15-20 slides.

Also, am not sure if this is a bug or a feature, but in the Windows version
of Office, I can drag bullets from within the slide view, but in Mac Office,
I can't seem to do that - is this a bug, or a known limitation of MacOffice?
