MacIntosh saving format

Hope someone can help me. I've always worked with Microsoft office 2000 on a windows 98 pc which could save in document format and lots of other formats including MacIntosh 5.1----My problem is that I've just purchased a brand new pc with windows xp as well as the new Microsoft Office 2003. I've started trying to do my work in this newer Microsoft Office 2003, but suddenly find that I don't know if I can save my work in MacIntosh format (which my employers need). I'm very new at all this computer language, so unless the listing in the "save as" box clearly states MacIntosh format, I don't know if any of the listings there are for the MacIntosh format (just worded under a new name). If it's not possible to save in MacIntosh format with this new 2003 microsoft office, does anyone know if I could install the microsoft office 2000 on this windows xp and just use the old program???

You can find this option in Word 2003 under Tools->Options->Compatibility.

I checked in tools, compatibility, but only things I can find in there is if I want to change fonts, or change portions of my document. As i previously said, I don't understand much about the language of computers, unless I'm misunderstanding some of the things in "compatibility" I don't see anywhere where I can just save the whole document in both word format as well as MacIntosh format. Please expand on your reply. Thank you.

Word .doc format will open in Word on a Mac. Document formatting may need
to be updated after opening.
