macro appears to run but is ineffective

I created a macro using Find and Replace in Word 2002 to bold select items in
parentheses or brackets. When I run the macro, it appears to run, but when
it's done, nothing has changed. It appears to skip all over the page, finding
the targeted items but not bolding any of them. Is this a security issue? How
do I resolve it?

If the macro runs, it's unlikely to be a security issue. There's probably an
error in the code - perhaps you could post it.

If you used the Macro Recorder to record the macro then unfortunately
it doesn't pick everything up. As "macropod" suggested, please post
the code and specify what you want the macro to do and we can take a
look at it.
