i tried a variety of garbage and gibberish. i had a template from which i
attempted to run an existing macro, which then resulted in "insufficient
memory"
i know for sure this is a template problem. the odd thing is that when I
delete all the *.dot files that I created, uninstall word, office and
reinstall.. all my settings from my personalized *.dot files remain in the
new install.
i'd been fooling around in the registry, in the permissions and generally
everything before this happened. my comp runs okay everywhere else. in fact
i can run but not create macros in excel.
i believe my problems may be buried in:
1. locations of files.
2. templates
3. permissions
4. active x
but these are all gueses.
thanks for your consideration.
