macro error message

Hi,

I need some help with my recently purchased copy of
Microsoft Word 2003 regarding macros. When I open or
close 'Winword 2003' or close 'Microsoft Outlook 2003' I
get the following error message:

The macros in this project are disabled. Please refer to
the online help or documentation of the host application
to determine how to enable macros.

I tried to delete the macros as listed under
the 'tools/macro/macros' menu - but NO luck. I have had
this problem since trying to install a macro from my fax
program; namely Symantec Winfax Pro where it was trying
to automate the toolbar fax button so that when I wanted
to send a fax I could click on the Winword 2003 fax
icon. It now gets very annoying with the error message
popping up on entry ad exit of these programs.

Hope you can assist.

Regards,

Anthony

Hi Anthony,

The macros are probably in a separate add-in which has probably been
installed in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Startup.

Close Word and navigateto that folder. Move any templates that are located
there into another folder. Restart Word. The problem should now be gone.

Then complain to Symantec that they havent given their template a proper
digital signature, and ask them for an update.
