I like to see formatting marks on my page (Boundaries and Guides, and Special
Characters) when I am working on a publication. However, I also like to be
able to turn these formatting marks quickly while I am working so that I can
get a look at what the page will actually look like to the final reader.
At this point, I can either do a print preview, or I can toggle the "Special
Characters" button and the "Boundaries and Guides" view (using CTRL+SHIFT+O).
However, either of these options requires multiple key strokes and I am
hoping to make it an easily accessible one-step process.
Unfortunately, when I thought about creating a Macro, I ran into the problem
that there is no way to record macros in Publisher...you have to write the
code yourself in Visual Basic. And that goes beyond my very limited
programming knowledge. Are there resources where I can identify / figuring
out the code for these particular functions in Publisher, so that I can try
and write the macro myself? Or does someone have some code out there that
will do this for me?
