macro icon EZP

Does anyone know why the icon EZP (apparently it's a macro) gets added to my
toolbar everytime I open Word 2003? I can have 20 or more of these on my
toolbar and eventually I have to go into Options to remove them. I've tried
to delete the actual macro but it won't let me. Has this happened to anyone
else and can anyone help me. It's so annoying.

EasyPhoto is an image viewing/cataloging application that is often bundled
with scanners. As you've noticed, it doesn't work with newer versions of
Word. See http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=224727 "Description of the
problems that are caused by EZ-Photo 2.7 and earlier versions in Word 2000"
for instructions on how to remove the offending add-ins. The article also
applies to Word 2002 and 2003. But contrary to what the article says, you
don't have to rename your normal.dot file to get rid of the EZP icons from
your toolbar; once you get the add-ins removed, you can just drag the EZP
icons off of your toolbar to get rid of them.

Hey, it worked! Thanks a lot for your help. FYI --- in Word I found an EZP
template under TOOLS-TEMPLATES AND ADD-INS. Under Global Templates and
Add-ins I noticed there was an EZP template listed. I clicked it on and it
allowed me to remove it. Don't know if that in addition to the other
instructions is what did the trick, but no more EZP icon show in my Word
toolbar. So, I don't even need to drag them out. Thanks again!

You're welcome, and thanks for the feedback. :)
