We have a macro that is launched from FileMaker Pro. It creates a new
Word document, merges in data from FMP and then saves the new Word
file with a name that is automatically designated. For some of our
computers, this works just fine. For others, the macro works the first
time it is launched. However, the second time we launch it it hangs
open and doesn't actually create the Word doc. If we close the
macro.doc file manually, it will run the next time we use it.
It seems as though some of us have something going on which doesn't
allow the macro to close even though it appears to be closed.
I noticed an article on the Microsoft Knowledge Base (article #174304)
....Save As Dommand Does Not Close the Previous Document. I think this
might be on to something. However, we are on Mac's (OSX) using Word X,
Service Release 1.
Desparate.....
