Macro password unknown - contractor left w/out disclosing

We had a contract leave without disclosing the password she used on macros in
project, and we need to edit them. These were built a while ago and nobody
knows how to contact this person. Is there a way to at least extract macro
steps from a password protected macro in project? I don't mind rebuilding
them with our necessary edits, but need to understand what she had them doing
to begin with!

HELP!

Thanks,
C

CJTyo,
Unfortunately you're probably screwed. There might be some decrypting
routines out there but I have no idea where to even start looking.

It's hard to believe that if your company hired a contractor that they
don't have some way of contacting her. For example, where did you (or
will you) send her last paycheck?

You mention that you need to edit the macros but your last sentence
sounds like you aren't really sure what the macros do. How do you expect
to be able to edit them if you don't know what they do? I must be
missing something.

Assume for the moment that the contractor and the "keys" to the code are
lost forever, what exactly do you need the macros to do? Maybe we can
help you develop replacements.
