Macro problems with updates?

I'll be sending a bunch of Word 2007 and Excel 2007 files containing macros
to people who have 2003 versions and who will be using the compatibility pack
to view and edit them. Should these 2007 files with macros open up OK with
the compatibility pack?

Hi Kathy,

It can depend on a variety of factors, including the macro settings on the computer for the person opening the document, whether you
used any Office 2007 only features and the file types you save. Word 2007 templates (.dotx and .dotm), for example aren't supported
by the compatibility pack, but you can save as a Word 97-2003 template from Word 2007.
