macro question

Is there any way to create a macro in Excel that will go
to a cell, wait for you to enter data and hit return, go
to another cell and repeat this process. I don't want any
input dialog boxes. I want to to see the cell that I'm
editing.

Joe,

What you're asking could be accomplished with a worksheet selection change
event routine. You may find it easier to use protection. Unlock the cells
that are to be traversed (select them, then Format - Cells - Protection -
Unlock), then protect the worksheet (Tools - Protection - Protect
worksheet).
