My goal is simple: Record a trivial macro, assign it to a "hotkey" an
save it in a template of my own creation. However, I am encountering
number of problems.
Here is how I have tried to do this:
1. Open a document based on the "normal" template;
2. Immediately save that document as a template named Andrew.dot in th
appropriate folder. I now have a template in which I can store th
macro;
3. Close that document;
4. Open a new document, and ensure that it will be based o
Andrew.dot;
5. Record the macro, assign it to a hotkey, and ensure that it get
stored in Andrew.dot.
6. End macro recording (at this point I would expect that Andrew.do
contains the macro.
7. Close the document that I had opened as per item 4.
When I do all this, and then open a new document, the macro is not i
the list of macros for Andrew.dot.
Any suggestions appreciated
