Macro: "Reference not valid"

M

Mason C

I have two macros that I cannot use, edit, or delete.

Excel ver. 7 for Windows 95 : Tools - Macro dialog box

One macro recently created, of the 3 in that box, works fine.

How can I delete the bad ones? I suspect them of causing trouble.

Thanks for any suggestions.

You may have already checked these things:

Check VB Project is not protected
Check Workbook is not shared
Check a cell isn't in edit mode
Check code or an Add-in isn't running

failing that for further help with it why not join our forums (shown in
the link below) it's completely free, if you do join you will have the
opportunity to add attachments to your posts so you can add workbooks to
better illustrate your problems and get help directly with them. Also if
you do join please post in this thread (link found below) so that people
who have been following or helping with this query can continue to do
so. :)

I solved my "reference not valid" problems by copying all seven sheets (using
upper left button to highlight the entire sheet ) from the troubled workbook to
a new workbook. The lost macros did not copy. It took a little work to erase
the old workbook filename from the chart data series references. And recreate
the macro I *did* want. All's clear now, thanks.
