Macro Security Changed...

Our Office macro security level was changed from medium to
high this morning, across several hundred machines,
without notice or intent. We're an Office 2000 sp1-3
environment. We run Virusscan on the desktop. We use an
internal SUS for critical updates. Has anyone else seen
this behaviour?

Yeah, it happened to me one day last week. I just assumed that it was a
side-effect of some update and set it back. Most of the people in my
workplace probably have never had any reason to change it from high to
begin with.

Interesting. I know of two companies, each of 500+ seats,
that have been affected by this. We've confirmed that
there have been no critical updates applied in the last 4
days. This remains a mystery to us. Unannounced security
changes, whatever the impact or level, are not cool in our
environment. Stuff like this gives IT a black eye when we
can't explain the behaviour.
