Macro Sequence

Do macro's run in succession or do they run concurrently?

If they run concurrently, how can I set them up so that the steps will run
one after the other.

Reason is my queries create tables which are dependent on each other.

Bev,

The actions in a macro normally run sequentially. Are you experiencing
a problem?

Other than a temporary space problem which a inside tech person attributed to
the MACRO running all the queries at once. I actually modified my linked
tables to correct that problem. The tech recommended that I use the single
step method to run the query. This would defeat the purpose of the macro as
I run it in my absence and needed it to run all the way thru.

I thought that they ran sequentially and therefore, will not modify them.

Thanks.

Bev,

I believe it is possible, in exceptional circumstances, for Access to
try and run an action before the previous one has finished, especially
if it something tha takes a long time to run. If you do strike this
problem, there are probably ways around it using a Timer event on a form.
