Macro set up as a reminder

A question was asked a while ago on how to set up a macro
to keep deadlines and use reminders when that deadline is
approaching.
The answer was yes it could be done.

Can anyone give the code, macro, proceedure to accomplish
this???

for instance I use a combo box with a PENDING, BEING
INVESTIGATED, SUSPENDED for fields. These are given 10
days, 30 days, and 60days(respectivly) before a pop up
reminder that brings up that record showing something
needs to be supplemented.

All help is greatly appreciated.
