Macro to anonymize track changes?

Hi,

I work for a peer-reviewed scientific journal and we use Track Changes
for the review process (Word X, series release 1). I've seen some
posts about macros that could change the user IDs that are displayed by
the track changes feature. We would like to change all of the IDs to
"anonymous" at our end (our scientists are a stubborn lot and refuse to
change their ID information in the preferences). Can someone point me
to that particular code or perhaps post it?

Many thanks,

Search this group: I published it myself a few months/years ago...

However, Word>Preferences>security>Privacy "Remove personally identifiable
information from file on save" will do it more completely.

Once you set that, each change comes up as made by "Anonymous". I think
that's what you want.

Cheers
