Macro to make certain fields non editable

Hi,
Can i have a macro developed for a word document wher in inside that
document if i have a table, the table would have headers. When i send the
document for the resources to change they should enter only values and not
header data etc..
Thanks

While I have no idea what you mean by "When i send the document for the
resources to change they should enter only values and not header data etc"
This sounds like a protected form for which you probably don't need a
macro - For general help on creating protected forms, see

Hmm this looks a bit complex, well as you say i need protection but we are
not using forms

One example is that
say my document has a table wher in top row is the header row and we would
have shaded it with color and typed in description like "Sl.No",Title" etc.
WE should be able to make only this row of header non-editable so that styles
are not changed.
Thanks

Insert a continuous section break in the second row of the table and protect
the first section of the document (the table header) for forms. Don't be too
surprised if you lose some functionality in your document.

Put the cursor in the first cell of the second row
Insert > Break > Continuous Section Break
(Word 2007 Breaks on the Page Layout Tab > Continuous section break)
Tools > Protect document > Allow only 'filling in forms' > Select Sections >
Uncheck section 2 > Start Enforcing Protection.
(Word 2007 - protection tools on the Developer tab)

You can lock any of the sections in a document by this method.
