Macro to open data file (pst)

I'm looking to create a macro to automate the porcess of opening a pst file
in outlook (Office XP/2003). If an archive file (pst) is kept open in
outlook it drains resources in an exchange environment but users need to
refer to their archive data from time to time. How would I go about
automating this process?
