macro to set import specifications and insert fields

is it possible to associate a macro with import specifications and have it
also insert fields (design view) at the time of import (.txt file)? Thank you.

Andrew,

It is certainly possible to associate a macro with an import
specification. For example, the TransferText macro action can use a
specification. But I don't know of a way to add new fields to a table
during the import process. If you would like to post back with more
details of what you are trying to achieve, someone may be able to
suggest something.
