Macro to Template

Could someone tell me how to make a macro to get to a
particular template (which is a letter I made into a
template). Every time I record a macro to go to a
particular template, I end up with a macro that takes me
to the "dot" template not a new document of the
template. Can this be done?

To create a new document from a template, use

Documents.Add "path\template"

Simplest is to record a macro which creates a new document from your
template.
