macro when a project opens and closes?

Is there a way to have a specific macro or procedure run everytime a project
is opened and closed? We have several task that we need to have the Project
manager do when they open a project as well as when they close a project.

Ideally we could put this code in the global.mpt file so it effects all
projects.
