Macro

i have a project where the default time of working per day is 8 hours.

if anyone works for more than 8 hours per day, then the cost calculation
according to per month salary is giving wrong results. for this, i have to
add the extra working hours in Overtime and then make the actual working
hours to 8 hours. How can i create a macro for this purpose.

also, is there any alternative way to do this task?

Project Server --

I would recommend that you teach your project team members to do the
following:

1. Navigate to the View my tasks page in PWA
2. Click the View Options tab
3. Make sure that "Timesheet view" is selected in the sidepane on the left
4. Click the View Options tab
5. Select the "Show overtime work" option
6. Click the View Options tab again to collapse the options
7. Enter up to 8 hours per day in the Actual Work cells for each task
8. Enter the additional hours greater than 8 hours per day in the Actual
Overtime Work cells for each task

For example, if I worked 12 hours on Monday on Task A, I would enter 8 hours
in the Actual Work cell and 4 hours in the Actual Overtime Work cell on
Monday. Make this a training and performance issue with your team members.
Teach them how to do this and then hold them accountable for their
performance. Hope this helps.

Thanx.

i got the solution.

what i did is, in the Tracking Settings, i selected the option "Hours of
work done per day or per week: Resources report the hours worked on each
task during each time period." and it works fine.

thanx for the solution.
