Macrobutton nomacro lines

I have a user who created a FAX cover sheet using a Word template. It worked
great for him for a year and now suddenly he's getting the type and click
lines showing up for him. When he opens the conver sheet now it gives him the
macrobutton nomacro lines and he didn't see them before. It still prints for
him just fine but he swears those macrobutton lines didn't used to be there.
How can I get them to not appear on the document when he opens it?
