I have a situation where a desk top has Access2002 but which does not have
the Linked Table Manager add-in.
To complete the install of a new FrontEnd Access Program, without the Linked
Table Manager, I deleted all the existing Tables in the F.E. (they were all
link references to the Back End) and went to 'File' 'Get External Data' and
brought in all those tables.
Everything seems to work fine. There is not a path error. The tables work
and all the other non-Macro aspects of this Front End are fine. However
known-good Macros (they work on other machines) that move data to/from
multiple tables don't work.
Now the ultimate fix for this desktop will probably be to upgrade it to have
the Linked Table Manager - which is fine - but I just wanted a sanity check
from you more experienced Macro people out there:
If the Front End is working ok to the Back End Tables why would some of the
Macros that call these same tables not work?..the table & field names have
not changed- only the link path...would surely welcome input on this....
