Macros and Word 2007

I have word document that have macros in them - these documents were created
in Word 2003. When I try to run the macros in Word 2007 it will not allow me
to run them unless I have the Macro Security set on Low. What do I need to
do with these macros so that I can at minimum have the macro setting at
Medium or is it okay to leave the macro setting at low even though it says
not recommened.

If you check the radio button for Disable all macros with notification, you
will be asked if you want to allow the macro content to be loaded.

You should Not set it at low (Enable all macros (not recommend; potentially
dangerous code can run)

When I select that option and try to run the macro I get the following error:

"Macro cannot be found or has been disabled because of your Macro Security

I should elaborate - the macro that I need to run was created in Word 2003
and was assigned to a button on the toolbar. So now when I open the template
I have an Add-in tab which contains the macro button. When I enable the
macro to run - the Add-in tab goes away so I am unable to get to the macro
and run it.

Is there a better way to set up a spell check macro in Word 2007?

If the 2003 document contains a custom toolbar to carry the macros then the
opposite should occur. The toolbar command should only appear in add-ins
when you *enable* the content.

If the document is in fact a template saved in Word 2003 as filename.dot
then put it in the Word 2007 user templates folder which should already be
configured as a trusted location. Then when you create new forms from the
template the button will appear on the add-ins tab.
I take it that that the document you are trying to open was saved in Word
2003 with the toolbar displayed.
