Hi,

We have 200 machines with Linux and Mac OS/Office 2004 booting up from a LAN and some of them don't have macros enabled which I understand is the default. I have been trying to enable macros but :
1.- The Tools->Macro->Security tab does not exist and Preferences -> Security says nothing.
2.- I can record a macro and run it when it's my first time logging into a machine with my user account, but after logging off the next session is with macros disabled
3.- My user account has admin permissions but I am kind of lost where to go to change security settings ... I'm thinking re-install office on the desktop images would be only option ? I don't see where can I change them ...

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated !!
Thanks
Carlos

XL04 doesn't have a setting for "macros enabled". The only "security"
setting is whether a warning gets displayed for files that contain
macros which allows users to disable macros for that file only. The
dialog gets displayed only if the checkbox in preferences is checked.

That preference settings are stored in

~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/com.microsoft.excel.prefs.plist

where ~ is the user's home directory.
