Macros in signed Template - Word 2007

I have two Vista/Word 2007 installations side-by-side with the same signed
Template. But they act differently when the temaplte is first accessed:

Case 1: The dialog, "The macros in the project are disabled..." When I
click OK I see "Security Warning Macros have been disabled" and an Options
button. When I click I can select "Trust all documents from this publisher"
and continue. The trusted publisher information is added to the Trust Center
and I'm not prompted again.

Case 2: The same dialog is displayed. I can see the "Security Warning..."
and Options button at the top of the window, but can access them because the
dialog is modal. When I click OK, the "Security Warning..." message and
Options button disappear. So I can't enable the macros.

What accounts for this difference? I want each PC to offer the option to
enable the macros. I looked for the Registry setting (which I read about
somwehere), ...TrustManager/PromptingLevel..., but it's absent in both cases.

Hi Phil,

Check the settiging in Word under
Office Button=>Word Options=>Trust Center=>Trust Center settings
including the locations. Are the files being accessed locally or from a network drive?

Do both machines have the same editions of Office installed?

Does either machine have other, earlier version Office products installed?

Does the user have the same Admin rights in their profiles on both machines?

Hi Bob,

The files are being access from a local drive.

Same versions of Office with no earlier versions.

And user has Admin rights on both machines.

I'm thinking this has something to do with the Certificate Authorities which
have been identified on both machines. Is that possible?
