I have built a macro in nearly every Microsoft Office tool to paste
unformatted text since I use this feature so much. But I am having
three problems trying to do this in Visio. One is that although I can
create the macro, I can't seem to assign it to a toolbar button. If I
have to go through the macro menu command to run it, there is no point
since it is just as easy to use the paste special command.
The second issue is that the macro itself seems to want to be saved in
my drawing or one of the shape templates. In the other tools it can be
saved in a common file that is read on startup.
The third problem may have to be resolved by my IT people. I get a
warning that my security is set too high for Visio to open a macro that
is not digitally signed. I understand the error message, but I don't
get this same error in any of the other MS Office tools.
Any comments?
