Macros to Input Data

I have searched the Macro info here and cannot find it addressed.

I would like to run a macro to input data. I have several hundred records to
attach an OLE file. I do the same thing over and over with one exception. I
change the file that is being linked.

When reviewing the posts, I see how macros are used for queries or to get
data, not input it. Any suggestions?

I guess I am looking to record the actions I go through to find the file and
attach it as an OLE. I have at least 7 steps (all the same) to get to the
point where the file is located.
