Macros Viruses

I have just recently converted to a Mac system but I have been
operating with Office 2004 for work purposes, and it automatically
updated to ver 11.3.3. But now when I try to email word documents
through my gmail account I says it recognizes and virus and when I go
back to word and try to open the file it says the document may have
viruses in the macros and it becomes a read only file. I'm not sure
if this is a problem with the updated version or if I really do have a
virus, if this is the case I would love to get some suggestions for the
best anti-virus software for a Mac.

Thanks

It's very likely (almost certain...) that you really do have a virus.

All the good ones are listed here:

I run ClamX. I think McAfee is the best, but I can't afford it. Beth
swears by VirusBarrier.

Symantec is very good: more than anyone really needs, but it tends to slow
or interfere with your system operation too much. :)

Cheers
