Is there any way to get Macros recorded in Word for Windows Word to work
with Word for Mac OSX?

Hi Noel-

I'm not an expert on the subject, but the concensus of what I've read
and learned from experience is that it will vary depending on the
Macro. Not the reply you wanted, I'm sure, but there are a number of
variables involved, not the least of which is that the respective
programs are not identical feature for feature. Also, which Win version
of Word to which Mac version will also be a factor.

Be sure to check back here, however, because you may get some helpful
suggestions rom a number of knowledgeable sources - especially if you
have specifics to offer about individual Macros.

In general, anything that works in Word 97 will work on the Mac. MacWord is
at VBA 5, WinWord is at VBA 6. I believe the main thing missing from the
Mac is Active-X functionality. Most macros that I've wanted work fine. As
CyberTaz said, it depends on specifics.

Daiya is exactly right. There are a few commands that have different
syntaces, like the GetOpenFileName method's filetype argument, but they
are rare.
