Macros Writing Introduction

We are looking for basic information on writing macros.
Does anyone have suggestions for finding good
instruction/software to help us get started?
Our immediate need is to write macros relating to changing
hyperlinks in an Excel spreadsheet, although we hope to
use macros more generally once we have an understanding.
