macros

Hi John,

I don¹t fully understand your question.

Word 2008 does not support VB/VBA. Therefore it does not support macros.

Word 2008 *does* support Applescript and you can script extremely
complicated and sophisticated procedures using it.

Is that what you wanted to know?

Hi John:

Beth is correct, but I "think" the answer to your question is "No".

VBA and AppleScript are designed to different jobs, and thus have different
capabilities.

There's plenty that AppleScript will do that is difficult or impossible in
VBA. However, many of the things that advanced VBA coders rely upon are not
capabilities that AppleScript has, and it's unlikely that it ever will.

If that's what you meant, then the answer is "No".

Cheers

will new word eventually support sophisticated macros with applescript as with
VB?
