How do I setup a macro so client can click on icon and
macros will process? I did a drag of the macro to my
desktop and clicked on it - the process runs OK except at
the end I get a msg box Cannot find the file to run (path
of shortcut) Make sure path and filename are correct.

Access macros are a series of Access commands. They run
within the application and usually from a form via a
command button. How were you able to save one to your
desktop?

Jim,
I created a macro with the RunMacro command in it and then
I clicked and drugged that macro to my desktop.

I think I understand. You created a macro outside of
Access and put the name of the Acces macro in it. There
are a few ways to run a macro from your desktop.
1 - in your access application name that
macro "autoexec". Place a shortcut to that application on
your desktop. The marco named "autoexec" automatically
gets executed when the access application opens.
2 - Create a shortcut on your desktop. the shortcut would
be
"path to MS Access executable" "ms access db" "macro name"
example - watch for wordwrap
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\MSACCESS.EXE"
c:\MRS\MRS_WIA_t1.MDE macroname

I hope this answered you question
