Magnify items in slides

I'm looking for how to take a section of a picture or text and magnify that
section or "blow it up" so that area becaomes larger - like when you look
through a magnifying glass. Can anyone tell me how to do that?

Duplicate the current image. Crop the new image so that only the part that
you want to blow out remains. Enlarge the blow out. Animate the blow out to
fade in on click.

If you have PowerPoint 2007 or the SoftShadow add-in from pptXTREME (02 -
03)you can add a nice shadow to the blow out.

As Sandy said. I like to crop to a square and resave the cropped image then
draw a circle and use an image fill. This gives a magnifying glass effect
