Mail address

Why doesn't Access 2002(XP) recognize mail-addresses. When I create a field
of the type Hyperlink, I always have to change the address type manually to
'mail address'. For 3 records OK but for 156 it's a little stupid. The only
thing the hyperlink wizard has to look for is the @ sign.

but but but.... the "@" is a perfectly valid character in a web page URL.
Look at http://rfc.dotsrc.org/rfc/rfc1738.html and find section 3.1
