Mail & Catalog Merge

Any help with these two questions? Can't seem to find
answers in past posts. Version: Publisher 2003

1. Is there way to merge more than one record onto a
single page without using "Catalog Merge" - kind of like
<<next record>> in Word? I would like to create a custom
layout on a page with multiple "merge records". I don't
want the catalog merge standard row & column duplication.

2. Can I suppress blank fields during a merge? For
example: Two address lines, but not all records have both
fields populated. I don't want it to print a blank
line/space, but rather just suppress or skip over.

Thanks for your help!

No. Catalog merge is the only way to merge multiple records per page.

If you merge to a Publisher file, AFAIK you can move all the elements about
to customize the layout once all the records are on the page.
