Mail Check On Outlook 97 is still not easy

Hi,
I have configured my Outlook to check Intenet
mail.Everything works fine except the fact that I need to
hit the Check Mail Menu Item to check the mail. At this
point the mail is either received or sent out. I would
like to automate this instead of checking manually all the
time. I checked a box under internet mail option where
check mail option is chosen as 'every 1 minute'. But it
still does not do the job automatically. Could someone
help me resovle this problem. Thanks in advance.

raise the time to at least 10 min. 1 min is too low and can cause hangs in
older outlook clients.

are you getting any errors?
