Mail Could Not Be Received At This Time Message

I get this damn message all the time. It says that the server returned the error "Logon Failure: unknown username or bad password." Would you like to try re-entering your password?

Of course the password is right. I have to re-enter it and then it connects. Then minutes later, the message comes up again. And I have to keep entering the password.

Quite annoying.

Any suggestions on a fix?

Thank you.

I have this problem too. I've read everything I could find (which is
a LOT) on the Internet about this problem and it seems it is very
commonplace. My issue is that it only happens with IMAP accounts, all
of which are Gmail or Google Apps accounts. My Exchange account works
perfectly and never asks me for the password. With the 4 other IMAP
accounts I have, I consistently get the "logon failure" error, but
ONLY when it automatically checks for mail. When I click on the inbox
for the IMAP accounts, Entourage successfully retrieves mail.

I have tried Keychain First Aid, and deleting keychain entries. No
luck.

I take it from the large numbers of frustrated people (both users and
MVPs) who have written about this issue that there is no currently
known solution. Is this correct?

Did this just start after updating to Entourage 12.1.5 or is this a long
time problem? See this article on fix for updater.
