Mail Delivery Failure

This is regarding Outlook 2000 - IMO. Recently, when I synchronize, outlook is unable to send out my emails. They just sit in the outbox. I am able to receive emails without any problem. The error I receive...mail delivery failure...unable to connect to the server.

This doesn't sound right, as I am able to receive mail from the same server. Any help will be greatly appreciated!

I am having the same issue using Outlook 2002 but only when I am out of the office (on a different network/location) not on the same physical network as the mail server. This happens to a few other employees as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
