Mail merge address field.

I am doing a mail merge in Word 2003. The address field
that I'm working with contains all address information in
one field. The format of the field is
(address1;address2;city state zip)

I would like this merged onto my document as
address1
address2
city state zip

Is there any way to have word insert a carriage return
when it encounters a ";" in this field so my address
appears properly?

What's the nature of the data file?

If the data file is suitable, you can tell Word to treat ; as a field
separator.

If the presence of other fields in the data file is causing a problem, then
merge the field to a new document and use that document as a data file.

The only other way that comes to mind would be to merge to a new document
and use replace to swap the semicolon for a return.

Does it have more than the one field containing the address?
If it does, then I guess the second of my suggestions would be the only
possible one.
