Mail Merge and zipcodes..

I have a long list of customers from our database. It's in Excel format with
headers as:

Name Name2 Contact Address Address 2 City State Zipcode

Those are all in seperate columns. I have no problems making them into
labels in Word 2007 except zipcodes. I've always had a problem with them.

Zipcodes that start with 0, Word leaves off the first 0. Such as 08828 would
become 8828.

Zipcodes that contain +4 show up as 0 in Word. So 52410-0033 becomes 0.

How do I fix this so I don't have to manually edit 1000+ labels everytime?!
I think I remember doing something with DDE and how a file opens in Word
2003, but I don't totally remember and can't figure it out in 2007.

To connect via DDE in Word 2007, check Microsoft
Office Button|Word Options|Advanced|General|"Confirm File format conversion
upon open" then go through the process of opening your data source again.

There's a lengthy description of the reasons why data doesn't appear as you
might hope at

http://tips.pjmsn.me.uk/t0003.htm

but it doesn't really offer anything beyond "use DDE".
